MEA Meeting Minutes – March 13, 2017
There was a brief presentation from Stephen Frazer from Financial Resources.
Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 4:11 p.m. by S. O’Meara.
Members present: S. O’Meara, D. Salvo, A. Margolin, L. Babcock, S. Codey, C. Gouger, S. Hahn, S. Havrisko, K. Kline, T. Lucas, D. Marley, C. McDonald, K. Quinn, S. Taylor, P. Thatcher
Recording Secretary’s Report: Motion made by D. Salvo to approve the minutes from the January 30th meeting. The motion was seconded by K. Kline. There were none opposed and no abstentions. The motion was approved.
Correspondence Secretary’s Report: A. Margolin shared a thank you note from the third grade and preschool teachers for the pizza party for winning the most food pantry items collected.
Treasurer’s Report: Motion made by P. Thatcher and seconded by S. Hahn to accept the Treasurer’s Report from March. There were none opposed and no abstentions. The motion was approved. The report is available upon request.

PRIDE: S. O’Meara thanked everyone who helped with the collection of the food pantry items. S. O’Meara reminded everyone that the Blood Drive is March 27th.

- School Calendar: S. O’Meara mentioned that she would be sending out a link to an on-line survey to see staff’s opinion about the start date for next year. She mentioned that it was up to administration, but E. Kemp would like to know our opinions. Please make sure to vote.
- Treasurer and Secretary Elections: S. O’Meara mentioned that Treasurer and Secretary Elections will be held in April.
- Pizza Paycheck Party: S. O’Meara mentioned that at the May 30th Inservice Day, MEA will be providing pizza while a representative from NJEA will be available to staff to inform us of what is being taken out of our paychecks now and in the future.
Adjourn: K. Kline made a motion to adjourn the meeting. L. Babcock seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m. by S. O’Meara.
